Seorang komandan Kurdi berkata ISIS berundur semalam - menarik balik
sebanyak 2 km sebelah timur dan 9 km sebelah barat.
Orang Kurd kini penjelasan kota.
ISIS fighters WITHDRAW
from Syria's EMBATTLED
Kobani - RT SOURCES . . .
Islamic State fighters have been driven out of
Kobani, the Kurdish town that strad-dles the Syrian-Turkish border, after weeks
of heavy fighting, according to Kurdish sources speaking to RT.
A Kurdish commander said that ISIS retreated
overnight – withdrawing by 2 km east and 9 km west.
The Kurds are now clearing the city. The Islamists
have left behind suicide bombers hiding in the ruins of the various buildings
in the city.
"We can still hear sporadic gunfire and
explosions coming from Kobani," RT's Murad Gazdiev reports from the
Turkish-Syrian border.
However, a victory announcement from the
Kurdish fighters is yet to be made because the whole of the city has not been
secured.
mengatakan bahawa serangan udara "telah terus melambat IS pendahuluan,
Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein, berkata IS adalah ", pergerakan berpotensi
digital."
Only a few days ago Kobani had been written off and
was predicted to fall to IS fighters, even by the Kurds' closest allies. The
Islamic State militants control almost entire border between Syria and Turkey
so it was vital for them strategically to take control of the border town.
On Wednesday and Thursday alone more than 14 bombing
raids were carried out in which 16 buildings in Kobani were destroyed, sources
told Haaretz.
The newspaper also reported that up to 20 percent of
the town may still be controlled by IS militants. The battle for the
strategically-important border town has already cost the lives of nearly 600
people.
A Thursday statement from US Central Command said
that the airstrikes “had continued to slow IS advances, but that the security
situation on the ground in Kobani remains tenuous.” It also warned “We need
more airstrikes, as well as weaponry and ammunition to fight them on the
ground.”
The news from Kobani comes as the new UN Human
Rights Commissioner Zeid Ra’ad al Hussein, said that the IS is “a diabolical,
potentially genocidal movement.”
He said that group is “the product of a perverse and
lethal marriage of a new form of nihilism with the digital age.”

Njulaina - Sebuah gunung berapi Jepun tlh menafikan awal yg
luar jangka masa beberapa hari.

ekonomi Jepun.
Malah sebelum bencana September, kebangkitan nuklear

ACTIVE Volcanoes Near
JAPAN Nuclear REACTOR
are Safety threat – PANEL . . .
A Japanese volcanologist has refuted early claims
that two nuclear reactors stationed near a hotbed of volcanic activity were
safe, stating that it is impossible to predict an eruption accurately outside
the time span of a few days.
The Sendai nuclear power plant in southern Japan
could quite easily be the source of a national disaster should a cauldron
eruption take place at one of the surrounding volcanoes posing an immediate
threat to the site, Toshitsugu Fujii, head of a government-commissioned panel
on volcanic eruption prediction told a press briefing on Friday.
“It is simply impossible to predict an eruption over
the next 30 to 40 years,” Fujii said. “The level of predictability is extremely
limited.” He added that prediction can happen only in the space of hours or
days.
His statements contradict those of nuclear
regulators who last month said that the two Sendai nuclear reactors were
functioning within the nuclear safety regulations laid out in the wake of the
2011 Fukushima disaster.
They stated that there would be no eruption within the next 30 years –
which is when the Sendai reactors reach the end of their lives.
Japan’s plans to restart the Sendai nuclear reactor
won’t be affected by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Ontake, the government
reassured at the end of September, when 30 people were killed and dozens
injured.
“This was a steam-driven [eruption] and it has been
said it was extremely difficult to predict,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide
Suga told a news conference shortly afterwards. It is precisely this lack of
predictability which is a cause for concern. Opponents of the nuclear restart
gathered shortly afterwards to demonstrate against it.
“No one knows when natural disasters, including
earthquakes and tsunamis will strike. The fact that they could not predict the
Mount Ontake eruption highlights that,” one organizer, Yoshitaka Mukohara, told
Reuters.
Heavy ash following eruption would make the plant difficult to reach and
would impact Tokyo as well as the surrounding area.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is looking to restart both
reactors along with any of the county’s other 46 which might be deemed safe as
nuclear power is deemed key to Japanese economic recovery.
Even before the September disaster, Japanese nuclear
revival was incurring the wrath of disgruntled citizens. Nuclear fears remain
strong in Japan ever since the Fukushima disaster proved to be the second-worst
in history after Chernobyl, with the decommissioning process expected to last
for years to come.
US paratroopers conduct largest drills since 9-11 with scenario reminiscent of fighting ISIS (VIDEO) . . .
Late last month, the US Army completed the largest simulated ground-combat exercise since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 in preparation for a confrontation with the likes Islamic State, which blends insurgent tactics with large ground-force maneuvers.
The 12-day exercise held at the Army’s 200,000-acre Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana included an initial drop of about a thousand paratroopers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd Airborne Division along with numerous combat and reconnaissance materials needed for a swift-response scenario, The Huffington Post reported.
Flown into fictional enemy territory - “controlled” by 800 troops of an actual airborne battalion known during the exercise as Opposing Force - the paratroopers are charged with preparing for intense fighting drills in an environment pre-planned to be as hectic than an actual combat scene, if not more so.
Upon landing, the “troops will clear the airstrip with a front-end loader that came down by chute with them. Then they'll begin waving in a stream of heavy cargo planes carrying another 4,000 paratroopers; 2,000 reinforcing troops; and armored vehicles, heavy weapons and even helicopter gunships. While Air Force fighters circle overhead, they will set up a high-tech, multi-room air-conditioned tactical operations center to manage the multiple firefights breaking out, and link up with clandestine Special Operations Forces who preceded them on the ground,” The Huffington Post’s David Wood reported.
Once troops landed and set up shop, the exercise called for them to face repeated crises, all scripted in advance. Troops on both sides have access to tanks, heavy weaponry, IEDs, air and artillery strikes, rockets, and small arms fire, yet all but a few drills are conducted with blank rounds. Troops and even support vehicles have sensors that indicate when they have been wounded or killed in action. Despite simulated casualties, medic teams must attend to wounds on the “battlefield.”
President Obama has insisted that he will not order combat troops to fight on the ground in Iraq or Syria against Islamic State, the extremist group which has come to control large areas in those nations. Yet top US military officials have said that they are willing to suggest that path. The US has several hundred military “advisers” aiding security forces in Iraq.

If Obama changes course and chooses to send ground troops to fight Islamic State, the 82nd Airborne troops involved in the war-game simulation are likely candidates, Huffington Post reported, and this fake operation played out at Fort Polk could very well be how they would arrive.
The priority for troops dropped into the scenario began with securing chemical weapons and seeing to it that Americans were evacuated from the area. Yet other scenarios - ones that both could happen and have happened - came into play: a US consulate is attacked, as the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya was in 2012, leading to the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and others; US diplomats waiting for evacuation; fire from a supposedly allied national army, as happened to American troops in Iraq; a moderate rebel force in need of support, like in Syria; and an opposing army, like Islamic State, using both insurgent and ground-army tactics.
As in reality, ground commanders during the exercise communicated with acting officials of the 82nd Airborne Division staff, U.S. Central Command, the Pentagon and the White House. In addition, paratroopers must work with Special Operations Forces that operate apart from the larger Army brigade.

The brigade finished the exercise prior to being named the main aspect of the US Global Response Force, “a combined air-ground assault force that for the next eight months will be on high alert.”
The Pentagon has for years maintained such a brigade from the 82nd Airborne should need for a quick-reaction operation materialize. The “ready” brigade has to be airborne within 18 hours with the aim of stabilizing an area before a more permanent US military team can move in.
The exercise was borne from a 2012 US Army strategy document that noted a shift in what ground forces may encounter in the future, calling for a move away from counterinsurgency tactics of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and to more diverse threats, likely in the Middle East.
The US Army may get what it trained for in Islamic State as it fights for more territory amid civil war in Syria and a divided population in Iraq,
"This battlefield is incredibly complex," said Col. Christopher C. LaNeve, operations group commander for the Joint Readiness Training Center and a former brigade commander. "What prepares you for a fight against the Islamic State is being incredibly violent at the moment you have to, and the next minute being able to deal with civilians."

“After capture, the Yazidi women and children were then divided according to the Sharia amongst the fighters of the Islamic State who participated in the Sinjar operations.”
A religious sect with around 1 million followers, Yazidi has roots in Zoroastrianism, an ancient Mesopotamian religion, and some influences of Christianity and Islam. Hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their homes in a town of Sinjar in western Iraq to save themselves from IS militants.

The deployment of the 1st Cavalry Division in Latvia is a direct result of an agree-ment for creating a rapid reaction force in Eastern Europe, following the NATO summit in the UK in September.
“This is a demonstration of our solidarity and resolve,” said formerNATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussenat the summit in Cardiff in early September. "Should you even think of attacking one ally, you will be facing the whole alliance,” the former Danish Prime Minister added.
The Baltic States have been among the most vocal advocates of NATO strengthe-ning in the region, but the organization is bound by a 1997 agreement with Russia, which bars it from placing permanent bases in Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. This can be circumvented by staging constant rotations of “exercises” that can in practice amount to the same thing.
