Nissan Unveils the World's Fastest Electric Racing Car

Nissan baru sahaja mengumumkan perlumbaan kereta elektrik (electric race car) terpantas di dunia - yang ZEOD RC! The ZEOD KM menggunakan sama lithium-ion teknologi bateri seperti Nissan Leaf, tetapi ia mampu mencapai kelajuan melebihi 186 mph. ZEOD RC, yang bermaksud Sifar Pelepasan On Demand Racing Kereta, dijadualkan untuk membuat kemunculan perlumbaan tahun depan pada 2013 Le Mans 24 jam.

Nissan just unveiled the world’s fastest electric race car - the ZEOD RC! The ZEOD RC uses the same lithium-ion battery technology as the Nissan Leaf, but it’s able to achieve speeds in excess of 186 mph. ZEOD RC, which stands for Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car, is slated to make its racing debut next year at the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hour.

Nissan says that it will trial variants of new electric drive train technologies in the ZEOD RC as part of its intended future return to LM P1 competition to challenge for overall victory at the world’s most prestigious endurance race. The ZEOD RC will compete under the ACO’s “Garage 56″ entry - an additional spot on the grid for vehicles that showcase new and innovative technology.

Walaupun teknologi yang digunakan dalam program KM ZEOD sedang diuji dalam perlumbaan kereta, Nissan mengatakan bahawa teknologi yang akhirnya akan muncul pada masa akan datang jalan kereta Nissan.

Although the technologies used in the ZEOD RC program are being tested in a race car, Nissan says that the technologies will eventually show up in future Nissan road cars.
